Only 2 Days Left Before We Leave For Arizona
With barely any leaves left on the trees, HTP and I can see two lone white pine trees in the drainage wash by our lakehome. Who knew? They're really tall too. It was impossible to see them for all the other trees. I think we're going to start planting pine trees here and there on our property next year and in the years to come.
My closing list is getting shorter. I brought in and stowed the windchimes (I have quite a collection) and the finch feeders. We haven't seen too many birds now that the weather has turned colder. HTP was startled by a nuthatch pecking at the feeder this morning as he lay in bed. He thought it might have been a mouse. HTP spend days on a mouse vendetta. We'll see if we see any results from that vendetta next spring when we return. Hopefully we'll return to a mouseless house...except for the electronic kind.
