One Last Night

And so Kylee and I have arrived at our last night here at The Lake. The car is loaded with space remaining for those items that can't be put in until tomorrow morning. My coffee pot has been programed for one final pot of much needed coffee for on the road. A final fireplace fire has been built and is being enjoyed.

I took Kylee to the groomer's today. While she was having a bath, a blow-dry, her nails trimmed and her undercoat stripped, I was having a relaxing pedicure at our little mall across the street and afterwards, picked up some last minute items at our local Walmart and lunch at Arby's.

And then it was time to say goodbye to my folks at their assisted living apartment...and that was really difficult. I won't be seeing them again until next spring....and then a similar goodbye to my sister, BW, who lives across the lake from me here at The Lake. *sigh*

Last minute details have been taken care of and will continue until those final items are loaded into the car tomorrow morning. Every item checked off my To Do List and my Packing List. BW Babe and JC gave me some more of the venison from last year's hunting season. DD Daughter has assured me that she'll keep my frozen items frozen while I'm visiting with her, Ms. En, and Mr. T...tomorrow night and the next day. We plan a visit to the zoo and a visit to the airport. I promise that I'll try to take pictures.

I'll try to blog but... If I fail to blog during my cross-country, 2,500 mile trek back to the Arizona home, I'll catch you up on things as soon as I can.
