Word of the Day

Runawaykey - Situation where one wakes up late in the morning, realizes they have misplaced their keys and is late to work. Often occurring on Mondays.

Woodtick Count of the Day - 41

Once again we're breaking records weather-wise. It's only just now that the temperature actually rose to 60 degrees. That's the coldest high temperature for any July 17th ever...well...as long as they've been keeping records. I've spent most of my day huddled in front of the fireplace. It was a perfect day to have a fireplace fire and work on an afghan that I started crocheting years ago but only just now decided to finish. I was going to go out and pick raspberries but despite the fact that we haven't had any measurable rain, it's pretty drippy outside. It misted and with all the cloud cover, there just wasn't anything to help dry things out...like the sun. I'm hoping that things warm up and dry out a bit tomorrow.

Murphyism of the Day

The Awful Truth

Estate planning is not intended to protect your estate if you die. It is intended to protect your estate when you die.

Noteworthy Quote of the Day

Knowledge and timber shouldn't be much used till they are seasoned.
