Word of the Day

Amsniffalent - The act of not covering one's mouth when they sneeze, thereby showing their willingness to share their cold with others.

DD Daughter left this morning after breakfast (along with her Todd, Taye, and MiMao...the cats). First stop? Albuquerque. I think. The only remaining sign that she was ever here is that the guest room kind of smells like a pet shop. I'll air it out tonight when the temperatures cool off. It always amazes me how DD Daughter can clean a room so clean you'd never know that she'd ever been there. That wasn't always the case. It's only since she joined the Marine Corps that she's been able to detail a room like that. The pet shop odor? Well...that couldn't be helped. She did have her three cats in that one tiny room for the entire time that she was here. It's not like it smells like cat urine or cat other. It smells like a very clean pet shop. Pet shops smell like pet shops. Candy stores smell like candy. Flower shops smell like flowers. Perfume shops smell like perfume. My guest room will smell like a guest room tomorrow....after I air it out a bit.

Noteworthy Quote of the Day

The AP and UPI reported that the French Government announced after the London bombings that it has raised its terror alert level from Run to Hide. The only two higher levels in France are Surrender and Collaborate. The rise in the alert level was precipitated by a recent fire which destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively disabling their military.
