Word of the Day

Faddict - One who always tries new fads.

Day Two - On The Road

We started out at 8 AM this morning after eating our free continental breakfast. Gas prices have risen higher the farther we go. Today we bought gas in Cameron before we left and then again filled up in Emporia, Kansas. We've stopped for the night at Liberal, Kansas. The motel isn't the best but it'll do. All we need is a bed, a functioning air-conditioner, some quiet, and free high-speed internet is nice.

We took the diagonal route down 54 through Kansas. This road isn't too bad but you have to slow to 35 mph going through numerous small towns. And heaven help you if you get stuck behind a slow-moving truck.

Tomorrow we plan to continue on our way down 54 until we hit Tucumcari. We will be crossing through Oklahoma and Texas on our way to New Mexico where we'll be spending tomorrow night in Gallup...if all goes well. High-speed internet tomorrow? I have no idea. We'll see. Only if it's free.

1. Comitas comitatum, omnia comitas.

2. The less you enjoy serving on committees, the more likely you are to be pressed to do so.
