Word of the Day
Karmageddon - It's like, when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it's like, a serious bummer.
Everyone is in an uproar in Washington D.C. and elsewhere. President Bush dared to nominate a woman that he KNOWS! Harriet Miers. From Texas! GASP! Not only that, she's never been a judge before! GASP! GASP! Both the Right and the Left are upset. Both the Right and the Left are burning up the internet as I write this. Research! Who is she really?! What?! She's a Christian? Can't have that. Evangelical? OH NO! Meanwhile, the Right is all upset because she's not a known Conservative quantity.
OK. That's all the politicing for one day.
I finished canning the rest of the garden tomatoes. No more canning here at The Lake this year. The rest of the day will be spent storing away all my canning supplies. And...I have to figure out the best way to bring this year's canned goods back to Arizona. HTP pointed out that I still have wine brewing in the basement. That doesn't count as a canned good. That's wine. It should be ready for bottling on Friday. Ready or not. I'm bottling it on Friday.
HTP finished siphoning off the gas from the boat. Now all he has to do is "winterize" it before we push it into the garage.
We're still dealing with the ladybugs. On top of that...I've never seen so many wasps. I had to dip the dead and dying ones out of the dogs' waterdish this morning so the poor dogs could get something to drink without getting stung.

3. No executive devotes effort to proving him or herself wrong.
4. If sophisticated calculations are needed to justify an action, don't do it.
