Word of the Day

Fanghanger - When a cat yawns a huge yawn.

Road Trip - Day Three

We started out from Liberal, Kansas at around 8 AM. Nothing too unusual. There was that train derailment but we didn't actually witness the event. We just got to see a bunch of railroad cars laying on their sides with what looked like brand new automobiles inside...I suppose they didn't fare too well from such treatment. Then there was that elephant-style graveyard for all the existing trees in that particular part of Texas we were traversing. It looked like all the trees decided to migrate to that place to die. Their white skeletal remains were all that was left in evidence. Kinda spooky looking. Oh...and then there were the stockyards. Cows as far as you can see.

We arrived at Gallup, New Mexico at around 4 PM. We gained an hour when we crossed into New Mexico. One moment it was 11 AM and then....poof, seconds later, it was 10 AM. The miracle of time zones. And guess what? We get to cross another of those miraculous invisible time zones tomorrow too.

Well...the dogs have to go out. I'll try and blog again tomorrow. We'll be in Vegas so...?

If a problem causes many meetings, the meetings eventually become more important than the problem.
